has approved Independence South as a Contagious Equine Metritis Quarantine Facility for receiving and handling equine imported from C.E.M. countries.
Independence South is now the only quarantine station in North and Central Florida, located in Ocala, Florida, "the Horse Capital of the World".

CEM Quarantine Mares includes:
1. Quarantine board average stay 16 to 21 days.
2. All state required CEM cultures and procedures
3. Coggins test, deworming, and vaccinations included.
4. Basic grooming, exercise/ training, European walker/ treadmill available.
5. Grass field with jumps and dressage ring available
6. Large grass paddocks available.

Our price: $2,060 + $1,250 to State of Florida

CEM Quarantine Stallions includes:
1. Quarantine board average stay 39 to 42 days.
2. Lease of 2 test mares available.
3. Test breeding of stallion by live cover.
4. All state required CEM cultures and procedures pre and post breeding for stallion and test mares.
5. Coggins test, deworming, and vaccinations included.
6. Basic grooming, exercise/ training, European walker/ treadmill available.
7. Grass field with jumps and dressage ring available
8. Large grass paddocks available.

Our price: $9,500 + $1,250 to State of Florida

• All Medications necessary to complete services must be given by, and billed by the attending veterinarian

• State fee of $1,250 for first horse and $750 for any additional horses must be made payable to Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

• Board in excess of 21 days for mares will be billed at $60/day.

• Board in excess of 42 days for stallions will be billed at
$80/day, and $60/day for test mares.
